The world’s only real-time Link 16 pulse monitoring system

PULSE-M is the world’s first commercial Link 16 pulse monitoring system designed to measure pulse density across the Aeronautical Radionavigation Service (ARNS) band* — without crypto or the use of a Link 16 radio.

By measuring actual pulse density, PULSE-M enables organizations to move from calculated TSDF, which requires enormous safety margins, to measured, data-driven confidence. It delivers the objective insight required to assess EM spectrum (TSDF), optimize time slot bandwidth utilization for fusion platforms, understand Time Slot Duty Factor characteristics, and protect primary aeronautical navigation aids operating in the same band.

*The 960–1215 MHz band (often encompassing 969–1206 MHz for specific applications) is a critical portion of the UHF spectrum, worldwide, allocated on a primary basis to the Aeronautical Radionavigation Service (ARNS). This band is dedicated to supporting air traffic control, navigation, and surveillance systems for both civilian and military aircraft.

How PULSE-M Supports TSDF Analysis & Link 16 Spectrum Compliance</span

01

Independent Pulse Density and Signal Energy Measurement

PULSE-M continuously measures Link 16 pulse density and signal energy. Measurements reflect real transmission activity, independent of network participation. This provides a factual basis for understanding how Link 16 systems are using the spectrum during live operations.

02

Data Applicable to TSDF Analysis and Management

PULSE-M measurements provide the underlying data required to assess TSDF behavior. Engineers can use observed pulse density, repetition, and energy to evaluate utilization trends and duty factor impacts. This enables more accurate understanding of “true” TSDF demand in operational environments, which is critical for our more advanced fusion platforms.

03

Localization Capability

Using multiple PULSE-M systems deployed geographically separated, observed transmissions can be localized to specific transmitting platforms. Operators can visualize transmitting platforms in both 2D and 3D views.

04

Proven in Multinational Live Operations

Validated real-time spectrum compliance monitoring, independent of crypto keys or network configuration. This makes PULSE-M uniquely suited for joint and coalition environments.

05

The Only Pulse Density Monitoring System of Its Kind

PULSE-M is the only independent real-time monitoring Link 16 pulse density system ever invented. It fills a long-standing gap in Link 16 operations by measuring pulse density in both terrestrial and space-based environments.

PULSE-M demonstrated its potential as a game changer in FCA enforcement. Regardless of which crypto keys are used, users will be able to detect all Link-16 pulses within their airspace. This represents a significant advancement in real-time spectrum compliance monitoring.

Why Use PULSE-M

PULSE-M is a lightyear leap in warfighter readiness training by increasing Link 16 participation so you can train like you fight with link 16 on-demand.

PULSE-M gives range operators and network managers real-time visibility into Link 16 activity and TSDF usage, enabling more craft in the air, and more bandwidth in the network.

By replacing calculated limits with actual measured data, PULSE-M improves operational efficiency and increases warfighter readiness across daily operations and large-scale exercises, so you can train like you fight.

PULSE-M integrates with network management systems (LMS, LMTT, etc) and CIVET for full spectrum management, monitoring, and data analysis.
